Meet the staff

George Fontanez is the heart and face of Under the Lights Flag Football League. A proud 100% disabled U.S. Army veteran who served a combat tour in Iraq, George has dedicated his life to serving others—first his country, and now the youth and families of his community.

By day, George works as a Trainer at Calumet Refinery in Great Falls, where he mentors employees and helps build strong, safety-focused teams. That same passion for teaching, encouraging, and leading carries onto the football field, where his greatest joy is helping young athletes discover confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game.

Sports have been woven into George's life from an early age. He grew up playing football and baseball, continued competing while serving in the Army, and later played semi-professional baseball in Alexandria, Louisiana. His love for sports has never faded. Whether he's breaking down game film, following player statistics on ESPN, or passionately cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles every football season, his enthusiasm for the game is contagious.

Over the past year, George has poured his heart into coaching and operating youth flag football. More than teaching plays and fundamentals, he focuses on building character, sportsmanship, discipline, confidence, and respect. He believes every child deserves a positive coach, a supportive environment, and the opportunity to experience the life lessons that sports provide.

Those who know George know that his greatest strength isn't his football knowledge—it's his heart. He has an incredible ability to connect with kids, encourage them when they're struggling, celebrate their victories, and remind them that their worth extends far beyond the scoreboard. Every handshake, every high-five, every word of encouragement reflects his genuine desire to help young athletes become not only better players but better people.

His mission is simple: serve his community, invest in the next generation, and create unforgettable experiences for families through the game he loves. If you spend more than a few minutes with George, you'll quickly discover why he's everyone's favorite football guy. Whether you're talking X's and O's, debating NFL stats, swapping Eagles stories, or simply asking for advice, he's always ready for a conversation—and always ready to welcome another family into the Under the Lights community.

For George, Under the Lights has never been just about football. It's about creating a place where every child feels seen, every family feels welcomed, and every player leaves the field believing in themselves just a little bit more. 

That's the legacy he hopes to leave—one season, one team, and one young athlete at a time.

Stacy is the wife of George and is the engine that keeps everything moving. As the heart and backbone of the organization, she manages nearly every aspect of the league behind the scenes to ensure families have the best possible experience from registration to championship day.

Stacy oversees the day-to-day operations of Under the Lights, including league management, player registrations, scheduling, website development and maintenance, marketing and advertising, social media, email communications, community outreach, sponsorships, technical operations, and countless organizational details that keep the league running smoothly. Every flyer, announcement, registration, email, and behind-the-scenes process reflects her commitment to excellence and her passion for serving youth and families.

Outside of the league, Stacy is a devoted wife to George, a proud mother of five, and a loving grandmother. Her family is at the center of everything she does. She has spent more than 12 years as a competitive dance and cheer mom, giving her a deep understanding of the dedication, sacrifice, and support required to help young athletes thrive. She also proudly supports her daughter at Northern Lights Dance Co. and serves annually on the Bison Dance Team judging panel, continuing her commitment to youth athletics.

Stacy's passion for serving others extends far beyond the football field. She is a Domestic Violence Advocate for the YWCA and serves on its Board of Directors, working to empower survivors, strengthen families, and make a lasting impact throughout the community.

For Stacy, Under the Lights has always been about more than football. It's about creating a place where every child feels valued, every family feels welcomed, and every community member has the opportunity to be part of something bigger than themselves. Her dedication, leadership, and servant's heart are woven into every part of the organization, helping make Under the Lights a league families are proud to call home.

When Under the Lights was just an idea, Joey Kuglin didn't hesitate—he immediately jumped on board. From day one, he believed in the vision of creating something different for the youth and families of Great Falls, and he has been an incredible driving force ever since. His passion, experience, and constant stream of innovative ideas have helped shape the future of our league, and we're excited to continue bringing many of those ideas to life in the seasons ahead.

A lifelong Great Falls resident, Joey has dedicated more than 26 years to serving the youth of our community through sports. Throughout those years, he has coached hundreds of young athletes, organized leagues, volunteered countless hours, and built relationships with families across nearly every corner of Great Falls' youth sports community. His impact reaches far beyond wins and losses—it's measured in the confidence he's instilled, the friendships he's helped create, and the countless children he's inspired along the way.

Joey has served in leadership roles with several youth sports organizations throughout Great Falls and continues to serve on multiple local youth sports boards. His extensive knowledge of league operations, event planning, player development, and community engagement brings tremendous value to Under the Lights. Whether it's brainstorming new programs, improving the game-day experience, supporting coaches, or finding ways to better serve our families, Joey is always thinking about what's next and how to make the experience even better.

One of Joey's greatest strengths is his unwavering belief that youth sports should be about far more than competition. He believes every child deserves a place where they feel welcomed, encouraged, and given the opportunity to grow both on and off the field. His leadership is grounded in sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and creating positive experiences that families will remember for years to come.

Joey's enthusiasm is contagious. He brings energy, creativity, and a community-first mindset to everything he does, and he is never short on ideas for strengthening Under the Lights and giving back to Great Falls. His willingness to volunteer his time, share his expertise, and invest in the next generation makes him an invaluable member of our leadership team.

At Under the Lights, we're incredibly proud to have Joey as part of our family. His decades of experience, deep roots in the Great Falls community, and genuine passion for helping kids succeed perfectly align with our mission.
